Uno de esos mandatos gubernamentales tiene como protagonista al vicepresidente primero de la República de Burundi, Gastón Sindimwo, el cual ha asumido con total entrega y pasión el llevar el nombre de su país por todo el mundo y asegurar a políticos, inversores, organizaciones y demás, que se puede trabajar con todas las garantías y que el gobierno no está para obstaculizar, sino todo lo contrario.

Gaston Sindimwo, primer vicepresidente de la República de Burundi, es originario de Bujumbura. Nació el 28 de noviembre de 1965 en el distrito de Bwiza. Creció allí antes de establecerse en Nyakabiga hasta su nombramiento como primer vicepresidente de la República el 20 de agosto de 2015.
El número dos del ejecutivo de Burundi posee el diploma de Licenciado en Diplomacia y Relaciones Internacionales obtenido en la Universidad de Lawrence de Kampala en Uganda. También posee un certificado en Desarrollo Gerencial (Universidad de Burundi, ISCO). También fue auditor de la Escuela Nacional de Administración en Francia, donde obtuvo un certificado en diseño y evaluación de políticas públicas.
El primer vicepresidente de la República evolucionó dentro del partido Uprona. Ya con 13 años, fue comandante de los pioneros de la guarnición de Bujumbura. Ha subido todos los rangos en esta fiesta. Fue secretario general de Uprona y jefe de gabinete adjunto del primer vicepresidente de la República de Burundi antes de obtener este alto cargo.
